This universe is a shared project between myself and Kir. The purpose of this post is to collect all our little bits together should someone be interested in reading it. This is not a comprehensive project and will not retell every bit of FFXIV or FFXVI. Instead we're focused on having fun.

Becoming Hope:

Snatched away from the ruins of Phoenix Gate, Joshua finds himself on the fields of Carteneau. Found and adopted by a pair of women living in Ul'dah, Joshua slowly recovers from his wounds and eventually heads out into the world to try to find a way home, accidentally becoming the Warrior of Light in the process. 

Joshua starts his journey at about fifteen years of age. However, timelines are a joke in FFXIV, so just take it as a given that he's an adult by the time he meets any of his future love interests. I'm not mathing this out.

After the events of FFXIV, Joshua manages to return to Valisthea thirteen years after he left (so approximately at the start of the main game). How old is he? I dunno, just go with he looks 23 because of author's gem of convenience.
