Bard Linn: Hello everyone. And Happy New Year!

Kiraya: As well as a happy belated winter-holiday-of-your-choice! We hope it was a good season for you all.

Bard Linn: Indeed! Alas the holiday is over tomorrow.

Kiraya: I wish I remembered what winter break was like...

Kiraya: :P

Bard Linn: I don't wanna hear it, Ms.-I-Get-Paid-Even-If-You-Don't-Work-Due-To-Snow

Kiraya: The county's going to spoil me rotten, yes.

Bard Linn: Knock on wood. Sooner you get benefits, the better for all of our mental health.

Kiraya: At least I'm not working myself to death to make minimum hours at my other job for 'em anymore...

Bard Linn: Indeed.

Bard Linn: And thus we don't worry over you working yourself to death. :)

Bard Linn: Anyway, we're off topic, aren't we?

Kiraya: Very much.

Bard Linn: Thank you all for your responses to the last chapter. I'm glad so many of you found it as powerful as we did.

Bard Linn: ...it's stupid to say that when I wrote it, isn't it. >.>

Kiraya: I found it powerful.

Kiraya: But yes. Even if Cloud's gone, things aren't over yet.

Bard Linn: As mentioned, Jenny-chan is still around. Dun Dun DUUUUUUUUUUUUUN.

Kiraya: And it's fun dealing with everyone picking up the pieces.

Bard Linn: Yes.

Bard Linn: We are trying not to sweep anyone aside.

Bard Linn: Their feelings, rather.

Kiraya: There may be some characters we focus on more than others, but like we've said before, this story will touch on everyone eventually.

Bard Linn: ...there isn't really much to talk about, is there.

Kiraya: ...Not really.

Bard Linn: Very straight forward chapter.

Kiraya: We're kind of at a transition between plot arcs right now...

Bard Linn: Oh - except you'll be getting glimpses into those journals Sephiroth found. They'll start showing up in bits and pieces throughout the story. Sephiroth finds them very useful to help understand the people around him.

Kiraya: At least we'll still have that much of poor dear Cloud.

Cloud: *pops popcorn into his mouth* I don't know. It's kind of a nice vacation

Bard Linn: I don't think the readers would agree.

Kiraya: I'm sure.

Cloud: Well, they don't have to put up with you two.

Bard Linn: And on that note, lets close before Cloud decides to talk some more. No promises on when the next update will be, but my New Year's resolution is to write more of this story. Let's hope that happens!

Kiraya: Hai! *goes to work on polishing stuff up more*

Interesting how they're managing to deal with grief...although I have my suspicions that they've been mourning an incomplete (or failed) clone all this time. *g*
Whatever is in those journals should be interesting indeed!
I'll try from now on to not just lurk, as I know how important feedback is to an author...little enough to ask in return for a labor of love as well as blood, sweat and tears.
I will admit to having absolutely devoured this thus far, the quality of it just drew me in completely to the point of racing from one chapter to the next. In that light, I'd like to offer a resounding WELL DONE for your monumental efforts in crafting such a satisfying tale!

Once again you've provided a well-characterised chapter. The differing responses each have to Cloud's death are true to form for the characterisations you've undertaken. I still hold out hope-against-hope that Cloud is not dead, but the flow and written style of the chapters makes these portions very enjoyable to read, despite not having his perspective.
