The One Thing

Ed and Edward disagreed on many things.

Clothing was one for certain. Neither teen could stand the other’s style. Family members was another, or at least how to treat them. In fact, there were very few things they didn’t disagree on.

And they argued. They argued with a fury that surprised those who encountered it. Edward had quickly picked up Ed’s sensitivity to his height and used it mercilessly. Ed, on the other hand, was quick to shoot back using his extensive knowledge of alchemy to impress Hohenheim and humiliate Edward. The only reason the arguments never escalated to physical warfare was Edward’s lack of training. Ed wouldn’t seriously attack a helpless opponent. Though Edward would be furious to know Ed considered him such.

“Fight like cats and dogs” didn’t even begin to describe it.

So it came something of a surprise when the Elrics discovered something that both blonds agreed on.

“Edward, drink your milk.”

“No.” The short retort came from both of the two near identical teenaged alchemists, in near identical voices. Gold eyes met in surprise.

“You don’t like milk?”

“No.”

“Well, I guess you aren’t all bad then.”

Very cute XD I especially like the noting that Ed uses alchemy to impress Hohenheim to get at Edward XD Tis a nice touch.
