Aka: Why Linn Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Have a Keyboard
Note: It is allkaitou_marina’s fault that this came to the net. I was going to keep it in my head but NO....
The sun set on the planet of Amestris. Its fading light reflected off of the towering buildings that reached towards the sky. In the highest room of one of those buildings, a very important meeting was going on…
“Finished, we are, with our examination of the boy,” Master Pinako stated, eyes examining the trio in front of her.
Master Mustang nodded from besides the diminutive figure. Master Armstrong rumbled his own agreement. “The Force is strong in him.”
“He is to be trained then,” Maes Hughes, Jedi Master stated, joyful that council had decided to side with him for once.
“No,” Roy Mustang replied quietly. “He will not be trained.”
The small boy before the council looked visibly crushed. Maes took a quick glance around the circle of figures. There would be no help coming from further debates. The council’s resolution stood firm. The Jedi Master took a step forward and placed his hands on the boy’s shoulders. “Fine. I will train him. I take Alphonse Elric as my Padawan learner.”
“You already have an apprentice,” Mustang frowned. “You are not allowed to take a second.”
“Edward is ready.”
The blond that had stood beside the elder Jedi took a step forward, his inner hurt at his Master’s words well concealed. “I am ready to face the trails!” Edward Cole exclaimed.
“We will decide when ready you are,” Pinako countered.
“This is not the time for this,” Roy Mustang stated. “The Senate will vote tomorrow for a new supreme chancellor. Queen Rockbell returns home as well.”
“Her attackers may be drawn out of hiding,” Armstrong boomed. “We do not have time for distractions such as this.”
“Decided later young Elric’s fate will be.”
“For now, return to Risenbourg with the Queen and discover the identity of the one who attacked you.” Mustang ordered. “May the Force be with you.”
Much of the dialogue, not to mention the situation, is stripped directly from The Phanotom Menace (the book version) or slightly altered versions there of. Please do not sue me. I own neither Full Metal Alchemist nor Star Wars (or any of its incarnations). This is just for fun. ^^;
