Summary: Ed meets Roy for the first time in his alter ego.
Warning: Gets darkish towards the end. Nothing really bad but definitely a turn from the last. A bit of sexual lingo, nothing major.

First Encounter

Edward gawked at the goddess. That seemed like far too many rules. Al lightly touched the blond’s arm. And he would obey every one to have his brother besides him. “That it?”

“I think so.”

“It’s going to be difficult not being seen. I’ll have to go out sometimes.” Ed frowned.

“Ah, well, there’s a solution to that.” Skuld explained.

Ed stared. “I have a WHAT?!?!”

“Well, Alchemy is the study of balancing female and male principles…”Al interjected, trying to hide his laughter.

“No way. NO WAY am I going out in public as a GIRL.

That may have been what he thought four months ago, but now Edward Elric was quite willing to reverse that statement. He had been shut up in this house, forced to keep quiet and stay away from the windows so no one would question his presence. And it was getting damn annoying. He wanted sunlight! He wanted to be able to run again, to shout just because! It had taken this long for him to learn just how to shift. He wasn’t waiting any longer.

“Alright, be careful now,” Skuld cautioned. “If you feel any pain stop immediately.”

Ed nodded and clapped his hands together. While technically not necessary, the motion was soothing, familiar. He placed them to his chest and focused inward. It felt as if he was standing on a precipice, teetering towards one side. He threw himself to the other…

…and felt his form shift into something else. Edward Elric opened her eyes to stare at two flesh hands. It felt so surreal. “Wow.” Her voice had changed as well, becoming noticeably higher.

“Niisan, you’re automail’s gone!” Al cried in joy.

Ed held her little brother close for a moment. “I want to go out,” she announced.

“Alright,” Skuld smiled. “Just be careful. I’m not sure if you’ll revert after a certain period of time or if you have to initiate the change. Don’t go far and if you feel the change coming get back here as quick as you can.”

Ed gave his brother one last hug, promised to do as Skuld asked, and was out the door. The sun felt so GOOD. She wondered if you could go insane going without sunlight for too long. With a huge grin across her face, the blonde headed down the street to the small group of restaurants near the house.

It would feel good to be around people for a while.

Ed was so preoccupied with looking at her surroundings that she didn’t notice the figure in front of her. The pair collided and fell to the ground. “I’m sorry!” Ed scrambled to her feet. She felt her jaw drop. “Colonel Mustang?!”

Roy Mustang moved through the small group of restaurants, thinking of the past. It had been over three years since Fullmetal had vanished and his brother’s restoration. A rather boring time as well. He had tried to resign his commission, but interference from the new government made that impossible. So now he was stuck in Central, bored out of his mind, trapped by rank but with very little support.

He really should know better than to turn his focus inward while walking, Roy thought as he crashed into someone.

“I’m sorry! Colonel Mustang?!”

The incorrect title started him. Roy stared at the woman in front of him. She was short, not even reaching five feet. Long blond hair fell to the base of her back, contained in a braid. She wasn’t extremely thin, but instead rather fit. Nor did she have huge breasts and yet….

He wanted her.

The strength of the feeling surprised Roy. He hadn’t had this strong of a reaction since dates had become a cover, and then a game. In fact, he probably hadn’t wanted someone so strongly since he had been a teenager. But he did. The flame alchemist wanted this woman beneath him. He wanted to hear her sweet cries of pleasure.

Roy stood and turned on the charm. “No harm Miss. Completely my fault. Perhaps I could take you to lunch to make up for it?”

The woman backed away. “No, I don’t think so.” She turned and quickly left, not quite running, but not far from it.

Roy allowed a smirk to flash across his face. Let the game begin.

Now, I SWEAR there’s a reason why Roy is so grabby grabby in this. I promise he’s not just doing this because I’m raping his character.
