Yes, more X/FMA. Not continuation of the last one though. Set in the manga FMA timeline, though with elements of the Anime. Very begining of X.

Extinguished Flame

Roy Mustang did not pace.

Roy Mustang did not fidget.

Roy Mustang, did, however, worry. And he was very worried. Karen had been gone for quite a while now, far longer than she had been since she had found him when he first appeared in this world.

This world. Had he never seen it, Roy would never have believed such a thing was possible. A world where buildings soared into the sky. Where trains moved so fast you could barely see them. A world where you could watch people from far away distances by a device known as a “television.” Where phones didn’t need wires. A world shaped by science and mathematics, but not alchemy.

A world that was both a paradise and a nightmare.

Every day he cursed his foolishness to believe in Bradley’s false hope. Amestris’ ruler had convinced him to try human transmutation. The attempt had failed of course. He had blacked out in the process and found himself here. One strange outcome of his attempt at human transmutation was he could understand and speak multiple languages. That was extremely useful in this very foreign land.

It was luck that Karen Kasumi had found him. If it hadn’t been for the fire master, Roy didn’t know what he would have done. She had taken him in and helped him recover.

He had quickly discovered that Alchemy didn’t work here. Whatever Karen used, it wasn’t based on the principle of equivalent exchange. He had found no way to get home either. At least he could count of Hawkeye to keep Fullmetal under control and help Alphonse to the best of her ability. The First Lieutenant would do her best to see that the homunculi were defeated as well. And she would continue to look for clues for Hughes death. Had she been taken as well, Roy would have worried about the disaster he would have to fix when he returned.

And he would return.

The door slowly creaked open. Roy jumped to his feet quickly and caught Karen before she collapsed. A few quick minutes later he had her lying on her bed. “Karen?”

The fire master wearily opened her eyes. “It’s started.”

Roy felt a sense of dread settle on his heart. He didn’t know what Karen meant, but it couldn’t be good.

Not good at all.

Note: Instead of getting Alchemy knowledge dropped in his head, Roy got languages. Plot device? Probably. Will this get continues? Odds are pretty high, but I want to read the X manga first so it'll be a while.
