Me: *goes out to cook dinner for self. Starts making eggs*
Mom: What are you doing?
Me: Making eggs.
Mom: I was just thinking about making eggs.
Me: *sigh* Would you like me to make you some?
Mom: Thank you!
CBL and friend come down stairs: We're hungry. Can we have a snack?
Mom: Well, you can have beef stew.
CBL: *to me* Are you making eggs? [please not that at this time I have a frying pan in front of me with two eggs in it, another egg in my hand, and a spatcula in another]
Me: No. I'm SO not making eggs there isn't an egg in the house!
Mom and Dad: *laughs*
Me: Go get more eggs out.
CBL: You've got plenty!
Me: NO I don't. It's THREE eggs per person, two egg whites and full egg. I have SIX.
CBL: But-
Me: DON'T ARGUE WITH THE COOK.

Honestly, just because I've been living in the kitchen DOES NOT MAKE ME THE SLAVE HERE.
