Have just caught up with my F-list. o_O Two days away and this happens! (Well, all except [personal profile] anax's new ficlets. Want to give them full attention and my eyes are going again.)

So, where have I been?

First of all, on Saturday my parents installed a new printer on my machine since the other one broke. All good except that it slowed the computer down a LOT. GRRRR. So Sunday I took the time to remove a bunch of stuff I didn't need anymore. After that, I did a bunch of mindless memes while waiting for my cousins to arrive. Then they came, and I shut down the comp.

My cousins (Ami and Keli, to go by one of their net aliases) have been some of my best friends sense I moved to the northeast from Texas. We played a lot as kids and still get along great even now. I dragged then into Anime via Ebonhawk's Duck Tape tales. We go to Otakon every year together and have also gone to Disney world.

So this weekend, we commenced in a Pony Party. We dragged out my bin of My Little Ponys, Threw on the Pony DVDs and proceeded to brush and braid the hair while reliving the show we watched so much as kids. My cousin started lining them up in Regiments (I guess that makes me the General of the Pony Army!) if they were twins, baby ponies, bitty baby ponies, rainbow hair, original ponies (part of the show) and so forth. We almost pulled out the Nursery, Stable and Boutique too. My sister had to listen as I related how many things she broke (quite a few, actually). After a few episodes we rewatched the MLP Movie (the highlight of which was Grundlenuff and Ami randomly spouting off a lyric before it appeared on the tape- she hadn't seen it years. "Where you hang your hat." *snickers*) I had a major heart attack later though. I was going to upload my cousin’s picture of the pony army, but the computer wouldn't come on! I thought I had lost it all! Luckily it fixed itself. *breathes sigh of relief* (My cousins meanwhile were going through the old dress up clothes that are going out and dressing up in them.) After a while we ate pizza and switched from watching ponies to Rainbow Bright, the first two episodes. After that we had to go look up the color kids names, as they only told us a few. Indigo totally got short changed. Her name is Indigo! Not like Patty O'Green. But I digress.

Next we pulled out the pony games and played those. My sister won the Race one and I won the Merry Go Round, Ami in second. Next we made ice cream sundaes with Mint Chocolate Chip and Cookies and Cream Ice Cream, brownies, all types of sauces, sprinkles, bananas...lots, and LOTS of stuff! Then we pulled out the Star Wars Interactive Video Game. The game is undeniably cheesy, but we have a great time with it. It's really rushed at points and crazy. I STILL wasn't the pupil (that was Keli). I haven't EVER been the pupil! *sulks* (Mind, that is the idea, not to be the pupil but still...) We wound down for the night. Keli and I played Star Wars Chess, Stupid Version (She won, playing the dark side no less. I was pretty tired by then. It's stupid because we are both REALLY BAD chess players. It is painful for my dad to watch us.) After that, we all went up to bed. I was asleep by midnight, though the others feel asleep later.

I dragged the cousins out of bed at 11:30 the next day. We got the rooms back in shape and went downstairs to eat breakfast. My mom made pancakes! (Which we also added whipped cream to. Yum.) After that we played the Star Wars game again. Ami was the pupil this time, but Keli was pupil junior and stopped me from saving the Rebel Supply base. Then we made Pride Cookies. Only we didn't have unsalted butter, so we used 1/8 tsp instead of 1/4 tsp of salt. They still came out good. It was interesting, as I was directing Ami, Keli and CBL all over the kitchen, keeping them moving and getting the jobs done. Ami found her life calling (decorating cookies). She got rather annoyed at me when I spread the rest of the glaze on some of hers. /I/ wasn't wasting perfectly good glaze, even if it did mess up her pictures. I would have pictures except...we ate them all! They’re REALLY GOOD and the directions are a riot.

After resting for a bit (and glancing with horror at my F-list) it was time to make rice crispies for the next door party. After finishing THAT, we pulled down Enchanted Palace (Keli won) and Forbidden Bridge (I won that one, but it keep acting weird). After that the cousins left, though Ami forgot the Inuyasha manga she wanted to borrow. At least they got the manga I bought for them a WHILE ago and forgot about.
Ah yes. We also did random Otakon obsessing some where in there. That was fun. CAN’T WAIT! MUST FINISH ROD COSTUME!

After Ami and Keli left I was REALLY REALLY TIRED, so I curled up on a chair and watched Master's of the Universe. I love that film. Old fashioned, not a lot of computer stuff, but still love it. All of these 80 films and cartoons are totally fueling REALLY strange FMA bunnies. Like the FMA Pony one. I know [profile] alchephiliac challenged it to [personal profile] dragontrap and [profile] potato_thief though. Wonder if I could get permission? Because I would so do it in classic pony style, consistency errors and cheesy music included. And I love [profile] alchephiliac's pony designs soooooo much. (WANT. MOVING. ICON. SO. BADLY.) Would like to use those. Must try to contact.

In general news, my mom starts her second course today. On the other hand, I really have to start getting ready for bible school. I have so little time and energy for fics…

You know, calling Anax's stuff 'ficlets' is sort of like calling the ocean a 'puddle'. :D

I had wondered where you went! *glomps* Glad you had a fun weekend though! And yay for 80s cartoons (was randomly thinking about MLP and Denver the Last Dinosaur today)

I'm sad to hear you are tired and unable to do fics. T_T

Hope you are having a great day all the same!

...Yourself I hope. I mean, if you turned into someone else when arguing that would be a bit freaky. XD

Hey it's okay. Just glad you are all right. Figured you were having a fun family weekend, anyways...! Most everyone else was gone this weekend, so you weren't alone.

And yay for MLP. *played with them too much as a child, usually with her sister. Had some really ODD stories we did*

Oooh! That would be cool! ^_^ *cheers you on*

Good. :)

And forgive my inability to speak/type coherently. ^_^;
