What I learned today.
Jun. 5th, 2005 09:43 pmApparently, the gene for dyslexia is on the same axis as the one for autoimmune diseases. My cousin is dyslexic. She has lupis. My dad is dyslexic. He had an auto-immune disease where his esophagus decided food was a bad thing and tried to keep it from getting into the body. Took an operation to fix, and he wasn't in good states. He was kinda close to dying. And, Alzheimer's is an autoimmune disease (they think).
Guess whose also dyslexic.
Yup. Excuse me while I go bang my head on the wall.
Okay, back. The good thing is, as my mother pointed out, is they are making a lot of scientific break throughs in this stuff, so hopefully that if I end up getting one they'll have better treatments by then. *sigh*

Date: 2005-06-06 11:17 am (UTC)Aw, that's okay, you don't have to do that. I'll get over it. It's just one of those "Damn, I totally didn't need to know that" things. I went and read fluffy fanfiction. ^_^
