So. I'm currently home because rain has caused so much flash flooding that we actually closed school. Time to get caught up on a) paperwork and b) sleep.
I'm glad. The way I usually go doesn't generally flood, but it flooded today. I had some close calls with water and had to turn around once on the way to school - and its supposed to get worse, not better.
Of course, I didn't get the 2 hour delay notice until I was almost to school - and then they didn't cancel for a while, so I gathered up all my work and brought it home. XD

Date: 2011-09-08 03:40 pm (UTC)That happens with snow too. But this is the first time in a while it has happened with floods. We've just had so much water lately between Hurricane Irene, a really wet august and now this. The soil is soaked.

Date: 2011-09-09 03:46 am (UTC)Good luck and stay safe and dry. I get the feeling that some of my classes are hoping for a flash flood to get away from tests tomorrow.
