Good news and not so good news.

bard_linnLast night I had a bad case of food poisoning. Ended up in the bathroom for over an hour. Didn't make it into school, which is going to make getting everything done before finals a bit of a challenge, but whatever. It wasn't in any position to go.
Good news #1: My offer on my house was accepted by the seller! It still has to be accepted by the bank before it can go to attorney review, then home inspection and work on mortgage terms and conditions, but we're getting there! The house is in really good condition, too, so hopefully it won't take too long to get it into shape.
Good news #2: I have a summer job! It pays very well, too. I'll be training and evaluating teachers. It sounds really interesting.
Ficcage wise, my brain keeps trying to put Eriol-trained Kamui back in time/another dimension to mess with the Bet. Hopefully ending in SeiKamuiSubaru. It's kind of intimidating to even think about, though, because a lot of people have done good time traveling fics. :/
Finals start this week, yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Hopefully we'll get another chapter of BE out this week. Andkiraya gets through first proofs of the last two chapters...
Cause then we can post first part of femlouch verse and I can actually refer to it by its NAME. XD

In general, I like plot fic, interesting twist fic, and exploring fic where you look at differences in a given universe and try to figure out what they would do. I generally have favorite characters, and if you aren't treating them well or they barely appear in the story, I'm not going to read it. I don't ship in all of my fandoms, but in fandoms I do ship in, I generally like to read well written ship fics for them. I'm much more likely to be forgiving of OOC if it has an interesting plot/premise, at least to a certain level (more so if it can be explained - such as the character's five years older, went through some yet unnamed trauma, etc). That being said, sometimes short fic can be my favorite, if it illuminates something I never thought of, or just has a certain feel for it.
General throwing off: poor treatment of canonical relationships (good example: There are some SeiSub fics where Subaru calls Kamui needy or whiny. Which he would never do. I prefer things like Sakura and Snow that respect the fact that they're very close, even if they don't ship them.), poorly executed AUs (if you're going to do the 'change one thing' concept and explore that, nothing should change that ISN'T related to that. *pet peeve* Also, sticking too close to the canon line when there's no reason for it to stay like that, etc.), some ships (HarryGinny just makes hit the back button. I'm horrible.), really poor handling of canon information (changes in height, canonical evens - suddenly Suzaku and Lelouch lived three years together before the invasion, what?), and stuff that contradicts my own headcanon too much (which is absolutely ridiculous. But sometimes I find someone visions the characters too different from how I do, and that throws me).
...that list is ridiculously long.

-First-person POV - a silly pet peeve, I know.
-Retelling of canon - 'bad' CG AU's do that all the time. That's repetitive and boring.
-Needlessly slow pacing, because I'm impatient.
-Some ships (LelouchxShirley and LelouchxKallen, for example; in X/1999 I'd read almost everyone on everyone, I think, as long as it makes sense. Not that anyone would write Kusanagi/Kamui rapefic anyway, but who knows? *scary mental image*)

Hedo-chan wrote a SeiKamui fic and I saw another one on ff.net, but that's all! Dissap.
My fav SeiKamui moment was in "Wings" fic, when

Sei cast an illusion to look like Subaru and got into Kamui's bed and even kissed him before Kamui realised it wasn't Subaru. That was so yummy~~
