Bard Linn: Hello all! Its been a long time. :)

Kiraya: We're sorry for the delay, really, but we've been pretty busy.

Bard Linn: This is the first weekend I've gotten to work on fic since...I started work. o.O

Kiraya: Well, to be fair, you have been working ridiculously hard.
Bard Linn: Ah, the perils of being a first year teacher. Thankfully November is coming up with breaks!

Kiraya: Well-deserved ones, too.

Bard Linn: Anyway, its great to be back.

Bard Linn: And a great chapter to come back with to - I absolutely love this one.

Bard Linn: What do you think, Kir?

Kiraya: It's always fun working on the chapters with lots of action and plotstuff in them.

Kiraya: ...even if the fighting-stuff can be a pain to write.

Bard Linn: And fun character interaction.

Bard Linn: I'm rather fond of how Zack's little scheming backfired somewhat - we love to show fallible Zack. BE!Zack is pretty manipulative at times and that sometimes bites him.

Kiraya: Fallible!Zack is too much fun, indeed.

Bard Linn: Zackmuse is looking sulky again.

Kiraya: We love you anyway, Zack, really. *pets him*

Bard Linn: Ah yes. Well, I guess this finally answers the question we've been getting since Nibelheim 2 - Is Seph going to go crazy?

Kiraya: It had to come up at SOME point.

Bard Linn: Of course.

Bard Linn: And well....I'm guessing some people are going to be a little upset with us about the ending.

Kiraya: Cliffhangers tend to do that. >..>

Bard Linn: Well, we'll try to update when we can.

Bard Linn: But don't bet on anything at a specific interval.

Bard Linn: For one thing, I'm terribly behind on writing. We're only three chapters drafted ahead at this point.

Kiraya: And when we started, we intended to stay at least 6 chapters ahead.

Bard Linn: Yeah.

Bard Linn: Ooops. My bad.

Kiraya: Hush, you.

Kiraya: You've been working yourself to exhaustion -- you have an excuse.

Kiraya: ...I just lack focus, when I'm not reading for class or doing stuff for grad school. >..>

Bard Linn: Well, and being distracted by Crisis Core.

Kiraya: Well, yes.

Bard Linn: Which, surprisingly enough actually has some interesting elements plot wise...some things scarily similar to what we have planned for BE too. o.O

Kiraya: Pity it's so squished together as far as timeline goes, though...

Bard Linn: Yeah.

Bard Linn: Also that all the emails are in Japanese.

Kiraya: ...I wish my kanji were better. -_-

Bard Linn: At least you're able to figure out the equipment and materia. XD

Kiraya: Yeah, well, katakana are much easier.

Bard Linn: Better than this unworthy one in any case.

Bard Linn: Oh, one note about the chapter!

Bard Linn: Seph was remembering Gast back there by the piano. :)

Bard Linn: Other than that - nothing else to say about this chapter. It pretty much speaks for itself.

Kiraya: I will admit, though, I'm fond of the Zack-Vincent scenes.

Kiraya: The two of them may not really click yet, but their interaction is still interesting.

Bard Linn: And they've shown themselves to be surprisingly similar in some matters.

Kiraya: Cloud, for instance.

Bard Linn: Well duh.

Bard Linn: They both love their Cloud.

Bard Linn: I think that's it though.....can you think of anything else?

Kiraya: Hmmm... not this time around.

Bard Linn: Well then, we'll see you all when we see you!

Kiraya: Until then, be well!

Awesome chapter, awesome cliffhanger. Is there any particular reason why Cloud wasn't affected by Jenova, or is it just his improved self-esteem?

Um, at the risk of sounding like a jerk, Tifa's not much better trained than she was at Nibelheim in canon and we all know how that ended up, right?

If you look back at the first time, when Zack was taken over, it was only Seph's absence that made him a target. If Seph hadn't been there, Cloud might have been a target because Jenny might have noticed him. She's all MYSONYAY!ing, so Cloud doesn't rate her attention. Nothing more than that. :)
