Bard Linn: Welcome to BE23, where we are steadily trudging towards 100,000 words. I can't believe this fic is a year old already.
Kiraya: And yet, at the same time, it feels like we've been working on it forever now.
Bard Linn: Well, we were working on it several months before that but....
Bard Linn: So in this chapter, we had Cloud and Zackness.
Bard Linn: And Reno.
Kiraya: Ahh, Reno.
Bard Linn: The muse I never thought I'd have.
Kiraya: (Better him than Hojo, say I.)
Bard Linn: (*can't really talk, because she HAS a Hojo muse in the part of her brain that wonders about various mathematical things*)
Kiraya: Well, when he starts wanting you to experiment on people, let me know so I can hide.
Kiraya: :P
Bard Linn: *ignores* Most of the Zack-Cloud stuff is mostly
Kiraya: Those two are adorable together in whatever they may do.
Bard Linn: They ARE!
Bard Linn: However, the most important part of the chapter really is the scene with Aeris, as Cloud has finally done something about that crush he's had back since....what chapter?
Kiraya: Sixteen?
Kiraya: Sixteen.
Bard Linn: Yup, Sixteen.
Bard Linn: Look at our ability to get ANYTHING done quickly! XD
Kiraya: Quickly is overrated.
Bard Linn: Anyway, The Aeris-crush is out of the bag. Should make things interesting. >D
Kiraya: Mwahaha, indeed. *evil grin*
Bard Linn: Ah, and a mini-plot starts next chapter! *pleased*
Bard Linn: (Who needs games, we have mini-plots!)
Kiraya: (It's nice to have some action to tide us over for the time being.)
Bard Linn: (Truth.)
Bard Linn: Well, I think that's it. Hope it was worth the wait for some of you, at least. ;) We'll see you February....
Kiraya: Tenth.
Bard Linn: Right. Until then, fair readers, we bit you goodbye.
Kiraya: And good health, too.
Kiraya: Don't let those winter sniffles get you.

Date: 2007-01-19 11:32 am (UTC)Still loving your Zack (just so you know XD)
I was sure Cloud's crush would end like that and yet I'm sad. I feel particularly bad for Aeris (Cloud has
TifaZackSephVincentReno!?!exams to distract him).no subject
Date: 2007-01-20 07:39 pm (UTC)Zack is good. *pats his head*
Yes, poor Aeris. However, as she is still alive
so farwho knows, maybe she'll find someone? As for Cloud...well. >Dno subject
Date: 2007-01-23 10:28 pm (UTC)I'm especially impressed by Cloud's caracterization, as it's the closest to what I envisioned for him before the scarring than anything else I've run across. His development also makes so much sense in context. The background details make the story all the more gorgeous.
Also, I love meta-thinking, so I enjoy the outtakes immensely despite the lack of actual outtakes. XDD Writing a joint fanfic seems a lot more fun than trudging down a bunnytrack on your own.

Date: 2007-01-23 10:37 pm (UTC)I mean, it's not like the Planet should give warnings about dorks with crushes puppytailing her, but complete silence? Not even some undistinct and unrelated murmuring? Creepy.
(And I'm pretty glad Cloud's crush wasn't a ZOMG GROUNDBREAKING EVENT and it was background to the gen. When romance in a WIP is the plot instead of supporting the plot, I tend to get unexplainably twitchy.)

Date: 2007-01-24 12:44 am (UTC)Generally speaking, various powers work best when the user is calm and in control, unless they have enough mastery that they can work around their emotional issues. So in other words, Aeris was blocking herself because she was upset. XD
(The story is MAINLY gen - though sex and pairings do become a bit stronger as things go on. Still the life development part is a critical issue all the way through.)

Date: 2007-01-24 03:39 pm (UTC)(That's alright - it's not that I hate romance with a fiery passion, quite the contrary, I love reading all things fluff; but when the story is nothing but the ups and downs of a couple, and it drags on and on and introduces more problems for them like a soap opera, I start drawing parallels to my sister's love life, and that's just horrible to me. XD;)

The best thing about cowriting I find is when I write something I can show it to Kiraya and get immediate feedback and squees, which helps me keep going, and whenever I get stuck I have a wonderful soundboard - even if we do keep getting into stuff that won't happen for another who knows how many chapters!

Date: 2007-01-24 03:42 pm (UTC)Oh, that really does sound wonderful - Kiraya sounds like a marvelous co-writer to have. And I know only too well how the lack of feedback can affect productivity - the latest thing I wrote got no comments, and that was the biggest let down ever.
