Trip to VA went very well, even if it was a bit nerve wracking at points, hoping we hadn't forgot anything. We ended up running almost completely across the historical area to get to our tea in time. XD;; Mental note: keep working on stamina.

Otakon was pretty good this year. We hit two panels and two main events (Iron Editor and the AMV contest.) The Best In Show (which apparently now supersedes best in category) was actually made by someone I used to go to school with. I am inflicting this on my anime club on the first meeting. (They won't probably have a problem with being so 'inflicted'.)

AMG costumes had a very positive reaction. I didn't actually see any other AMG costumes out there, though supposedly there was a Keiichi looking for a Belldandy, but we weren't going to go track him down. The people who recognized Subaru, Sei and Hokuto-chan were really happy to see us (admittedly, like four people. I don't care. It was fun, even if I can't pretend to be Subaru for more than about 30 seconds. Way too type A.) Also, let us hope that nothing serious ever goes wrong at Otakon. It took far too long for people to realize the fire alarm was going off and evacuation took even longer.

Discussing the awesomeness of Lelouch, CG and putting him against various other people:

Which made us wonder if you could Phoenix Down someone in the Geass-verse if the geass would still be active. (People who die and come back because of the code obviously don't count.)

In other notes: Working on BE46. Hopefully kiraya will be done with her next push at work soon, and we can post the next chapter. (I know, evil cliffhanger last time.) I also read all of Demon Hunts the other day, and really enjoyed it. I'd love to see a good crossover between The Walker Papers and the Dresden Series (still waiting on the latest from the library for that), but I suspect there isn't enough fandom for it to exist. If I wrote it myself, I'd get killed by musicshoes who wants to write HP fic together. And we have lots of epic CG fic to write. Also funny? I'm fairly certain there was an unnamed Sam-and-Dean cameo in Demon Hunts. They mentioned an Impala, and two fake FBI agents, who knew about supernatural stuff.

In the getting-in-to-shape front, I am frustrated. I managed to get to 167 pre-vacation, came back around 169ish, dropped to 168 only to go to family gathering at amusement park and loose all self control due to Oreos and Rainbow Chip cookies. (I have a great weakness for cookies.) Got sick on Sunday, which meant I couldn't exercise, and took yesterday off just to make sure I'm over it. I'm hoping to drop down to 165 before school starts, so I'm going to have to really work at it for the next two weeks.

Doctors appointment at noon today, and a meeting with my unit partner for our school work over the summer tomorrow at 8:30 am. (Yes, teachers still Do Stuff over the summer. You'd be surprised.) I'm also picking up the new SAT book so I can make a new teachers edition and an Algebra 1 CP teachers manual. My schedule looks really nice this year as far as breaks and exams go. I'm a bit nervous with a new Algebra 1 Curriculum, but I'll pull through. Hopefully we will soon have end of marking period dates so I can set up my gradebook.
