It's a sad thing I was excited when I thought someone else was leaving the house in the morning before I was, isn't it. :(

Not at all!
I used to be the same when I had an office-y type holiday job at school.

See, the advantage (disadvantage?) of work that's basically more or less shift-based is that leaving-for-work-time becomes utterly irrelevant. I'm often coming home after night shift just as other people (nine-to-fivers) are leaving for work. I for one don't know how or when they get the time to go to the bank etc. if they're working five days with those hours (though I guess a designated lunch period goes a ways towards covering that). You've got a teacher's hours; how on earth do you manage all the Real Life things?

Glad to hear that life's treating you well,

Nik.

It SUCKS, that's how you do it. If you're lucky, you get to them on Saturday - otherwise you have to rush to get there. :( Take the post office for example - I'm getting a package I have to sign for. The person who does this street comes BEFORE NOON. Say, WHAT? How am I supposed to be here that early? I'm scheduling the redelivery for Saturday - hopefully that works....

Good luck! (Frankly, I tend to ring 'em and tell 'em I'll pick it up at the depot at a time that suits me, if they're going to be beetling around waking me up when I'm on a run of nights.)
