Kiraya: Indeed. ^..^

Kiraya: Tifa's been lucky so far.

Kiraya: With Cloud and his mom understanding her predicament...

Bard Linn: Not to mention his mom really /could/ use the extra set of hands! XD

Kiraya: Now that Cloud's gone, absolutely.

Bard Linn: All the cleaning and cooking and gardening....she might just really regret this little set up. XDDDD

Kiraya: Well, she can't get off COMPLETELY scott-free. :P

Bard Linn: Nope.

Bard Linn: And Cloud learns hacking....this scene is amusing to me, simply because of how many times we moved it in the outline.

Kiraya: Well, now that Vin's had time to acquaint himself with the ins and outs of ShinRa's much changed systems...

Bard Linn: *nod* But origionally we had him teaching Cloud back in Nibelheim and went "oops, the stuff is probably all out dated!"

Kiraya: One of the many benefits of staying ahead of posting, hmmm?

Bard Linn: Yes. Definitely.

Bard Linn: Lets see....Cloud asking mom for some flower seeds...little scene mostly...oh, REEVE! <3

Kiraya: Reeve Reeve Reeeeeeeve~ <3

Kiraya: *cough*bestthinginDirgeofCerberussofar*cough*

Bard Linn: And Aeris. Who knows far more than she lets on most days.

Kiraya: *forces self to contain probably spoilerish squee-age*

Bard Linn: *locks away the squeeage* On the other hand, she also knows less than some suspect.

Kiraya: Our dear Aeris isn't omniscient, after all.

Bard Linn: Very much not.

Kiraya: Despite having an earful of Planetvoices.

Bard Linn: And probably my favorite part of the chapter - Chaos and Cloud.

Kiraya: Thus begins an unlikely relationship.

Kiraya: Though it should prove most fun over time.

Bard Linn: Very unlikely.

Kiraya: ...especially for Vincent. >..>

Bard Linn: *imagines Chaos and Cloud having tea while Vin is stuck in the observation role* XDDD

Cloud: One lump or two?

Chaos: *considers*

Chaos: ...three.

Vin: What. The. Don't you /dare/ Cloud!

Cloud: Okay. ^_^ *drops in three*

Vin: ...he's going to be impossible. =.=

Chaos: And don't you just love it? >D

Vin: You're going to give the crazy fan girls more completely inaccurate material to use if you keep talking like that.

Chaos: For me, or for thee?

Chaos: ...actually...

Vin: I was referring to the "And don't you just love it" line actually.

Chaos: *sigh* You're no fun.

Vin: I am tired of being tied down and turned into a weepy - what is the term? Uke?

Chaos: ...ugh. Trust me, if anyone tries it... *bares fangs*

Vin: At least there is one thing we can agree on...

Chaos: Not while I'M in this body, anyway.

Cloud: ...what's a Uke? And why would Vincent be crying? o.O

Chaos: *smirks* Well, boy, you see--

Vin: Don't. You. Even. Start.

Chaos: ...spoilsport.

Vin: *pulls out PHS* Sinclair, I'm done with Cloud. Why don't you get some extra practice in? I'll send him down to the gym. Off you go, Cloud. *shoves him out the door*

Chaos: Though I can't believe you. Either of you. I mean, he's in the ARMY, for Gaea's sake, and he hasn't...?

Chaos: And you didn't even let him finish his tea.

Vin: He can have tea another time. And consider it a side effect of his tunnel vision.

Chaos: But all the lewd jokes! He's not THAT bad, surely.

Vin: I'm not a mind reader, contrary to what Cloud thinks some days. And from what Sinclair said, two of his former squad mates have basically intervened on any /serious/ offers before they got to him. *shrugs*

Chaos: ...huh.

Chaos: Sometimes I feel like I could be among you humans for a hundred thousand years -- assuming you live that long, of course -- and STILL not understand you.

Vin: I do believe just about everyone Cloud meets comes under this impression he's going to die an naive innocent. The fact he looks several years under his age probably doesn't help.

Chaos: Such a tasty little morsel...

Vin: *GLARE*

Chaos: Oh, come off it, Vinny. I'm only joking.

Chaos: ...mostly. *leer*

Vin: I should stick you in Reno's head. That would be amusing.

Chaos: Who?

Chaos: And I'd like to see you TRY to rid yourself of me. Face it, buddy; we're stuck this way. >D

Vin: *waves hands at the notes* He's in there. I haven't met him myself yet. And you don't have to sound so...pleased with the idea!

Chaos: Well, I must say the situation could be better.

Chaos: But you're such fun to torment! ^_^

Vin: ...grinning...little...demon.....guh.

Chaos: So I might as well enjoy myself, hmmm?

Vin: *slaps a duct tape seal over Chaos' mouth* And now, the notes can go back to the authors, because I have the feeling he can keep doing that all day.

Chaos: *glare*

Bard Linn: Thank you Vincent.

Bard Linn: And the last section of this marks the real beginning of Sephiroth and Cloud interaction.

Kiraya: Finally.

Bard Linn: Geeze, only taken 18 chapters....

Bard Linn: Though we still have basically no Vin-Zack interaction either. Minus the "he's my student!!!1eleventy” bit.

Kiraya: Hmmm... we do need to work on that some more.

Bard Linn: Unfortunately Zack can't be in multiple places at once yet.

Zack: I'm working on it, though.

Zack: And when I can... *evil grin*

Seph: ...please no.

Bard Linn: *thinks of that whatdoyoucallit jitsu thingy from Naruto in horror*

Kiraya: ...A WHOLE BUNCH OF ZACKS. DUDE.

Seph: I forbid you to work on that anymore, Zackary. If that ever got in the hands of the enemy....

Kiraya: Zack, you can come to my place and do that ANY TIME.

Zack: *sigh* Spoilsport.

Chaos: *from behind gag, concurs*

Cloud: *trudges back in from gym* Oh Gaea. Chaos and Zack are bonding. *flees in terror* THE END IS COMING!

Bard Linn: No, its not. We've still got quite a bit of story left to tell, Cloud.

Bard Linn: Anyway, anything else to say about the chapter in specific?

Kiraya: Uhhh...

Kiraya: Now that I've been totally sidetracked... No.

Bard Linn: One major announcement: Due to the fact that summer has been far too involving and Linn gets sidetracked writing other things, we're going to once a month postings (*puts on earmuffs so she can't hear the complaining*) on the SECOND SATURDAY of the month, at 8 pm. So the next chapter - 19- will be right on time but after that you'll have to wait more (seeing as 20 isn't even finished drafting yet. )

Kiraya: ...oh yeah, 20. XD;;;;;;;

Bard Linn: Yes. Twenty. As in, after Nineteen.

Kiraya: *pokes muses, HARD*

Bard Linn: So. See you all come September!

Kiraya: ^..^

Of course, if Zack manages that with Mako energy, I'll be mighty impressed.

Very good chapter. And from what you've presented so far from Sephiroth he seems very in character when dealing with Cloud. Completely formal. And considering you said it took Zack a long time to get Sephiroth to even act human, I guess it will be a lot longer than Zack's mission before they have a common interest beyond training. Or killing Hojo.

Seems that Cloud just has a talent for baffling and intriguing just about anyone and everyone he comes across, after which they're doooomed =D. And oh, Seph. SephSephSeph. That last bit just about killed me, half with the irony (given the fact that Cloud kills him twice in canon, albeit with lots of help), and half because I just find it so sad yet sweet. And! Antisocial Seph finally really noticing Cloud! Yup, he's dooooooooomed ^^

I haven't commented for a while, due to various complicated reasons, but I really want to say that I really, really, really love this fic. I like how you take the time to deals with every character (so IC!!) and develop them; here, I can't choose who I prefer, now, it's too hard because they're all great.

To sum up my feelings for chapter 18 in one word? It would be Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevesomghesheresquee!!!
