On the "how the heck do you spell Shinra/ShinRa whatever" front, there's a sign in the building that says "Shin-Ra".

Question is do we go back and switch it all in a fit of obsessive compulsiveness.

Note to self: type up "Strife follow Shin-Ra" AU bunny prologue so do not forget it soon. Kir, remind me to tell you about this. Is interesting idea.

How did you first hear of/meet me?

Where and when did you first hear of my name/see my work/'meet' me? With what people/series/groups etc. do you associate me and my writing? This is not a praise or feedback meme, this is just to track the path of my online presence and to see the connections involved, to find out how people link together.

And as the wonderful Cyro pointed out, this is especially for the lurkers! We want to know!

I was at icedark_elf's journal, reading about how she hated you two for bunnying her, and, reading the thread in which you compulsively bunnied her further I couldn't help noticing you came up with a very similar bunny to an old one of mine! I don't actually recall what it was - not BE, though I did get chattering with you over AU senarios and BE came up. It was probably BE that made me decide to friend your because I wanted to see it when you started writing it.

You know, I am not exactly sure anymore. What I can say with absolute certainty is that it was through fanfic, most probably the beginnings of BE, but don't call me on that. I was lurking at that time, not having an lj myself, and desperately trying to keep track of what few good fanfiction authors are out there. XD

Now I have lj, and stalk you. Not just because of fanfic, but because I'm evil like that. :P

Well, I don't know if I'm exactly qualified to answer this, since we first met IRL. :P

I think we started chatting because of our common interest in FMA (though yours was much greater, of course; I never wrote anything for the fandom, though I knew you were pretty deeply involved with hime1999's AU stuff). I'm pretty sure we friended each other when we started studying for Japanese together, so we could drop each other lines about last-minute schedule changes.

Then Advent Children came out -- my first exposure to Final Fantasy since watching Mum play the original NES game when I was little. Being familiar with game canon, you were quite happy to indoctrinate me into the FFVII fandom. And, of course, your preference for OT3 was quite contagious (AU only slightly less so).

And the rest, my dear, is history. ^..^
