More HoS: Furniture
Feb. 11th, 2005 04:24 pmThe second fic idea ever. My thought getting into bed after being introduced to HoS was 'how did they fit everyone in the bed?' Also pure cuteness, no angst.
Note: this was inspired before Masuta had begining alchemy training. At the moment he can't preform any, not even his usual screw ups.
Furniture
Ed’s head snapped up as a loud screech echoed down the stairs. “What are they DOING?” He asked Riza.
Riza looked up from the vegetables she was peeling. “They’re taking care of the bed.”
“Oh.” When Roy, Masuta and Ed had paired up the large bed hadn’t been a problem. With five however the bed was more than a little cramped especially when you took into effect Ed’s tossing and turning. In order to give each other some breathing space, and keep injuries via Ed’s flailing automail to a minimum, the five had agreed a bigger bed was necessary. “I didn’t realize Roy managed to find a larger one.”
“He didn’t.” Riza replied.
Ed snapped his book shut and wandered out of the kitchen. He quickly raced up the stairs as another loud thump shook the house. “What are you DOING?”
Al, Roy and Masuta glanced over towards the door. “Trying to get the two beds to fit next to each other Niisan,” Al replied. “But they don’t exactly match…” That was an understatement. The second bed was a full four inches shorter than the other.
“Ichiro I can understand but you two have no excuse,” Ed grumbled and clapped his hands together. Blue light flickered across wood and metal reforming the bed into a seamless whole. As with most of Ed’s transmutations it was elaborately carved and to put it bluntly, perfect.
“Oh Ed,” Riza smiled from the door. “It’s beautiful!”
“I don’t know,” Roy smirked exchanging a meaningful look with his two partners. “I think there’s something wrong with it.”
Ed glared. “There most certainly IS NOT-” His protest was cut off as Masuta and Al tipped him backwards onto the bed.
“As I was saying,” Roy continued smugly looming over Ed. “It hasn’t been tested yet.”
Several hours later after everyone was completely sated and relaxed Al poked his brother. “Think you could do the bathtub too?”
As always, unbetaed. "Kindred Spirits" to be put up later.
Amusing note: I was brain storming ideas driving around earlier using my sister as my scribe. ^_^
