bard_linnSo, Supernatural.
Awesome show about two brothers hunting down thing that are…Supernatural in origin. As I have been watching bits and pieces of it (yes I am a bad person and tend to watch the last 15 minutes of the episode first so I know how it ends) it has been poking at my brain. However, as I am not likely to write it since for some reason I have no muse beyond general ideas (and having a KHII and FFVII devoted brain) I present:
Linn’s List Supernatural Bunnies That Never Will Be!
1) SPN/DC/MK: Detective Conan, in which the protagonist falls over bodies every other day, it seems, without even trying. And Shinichi and Ran have been to the USofA before, meaning the “why are Sam and Dean in Japan” question wouldn’t necessarily have to be addressed. If Conan/Shinichi were in the US again and found out about a string of murders he’d totally be on it. Add Magical Kaitou in for a dash of amusement, considering Kaitou practices Stage Magic (and possibly real magic) and the whole Witch thing….not to mention his Dad’s death and all.
2) SPN/Numb3rs: In Numb3rs you’ve got another brother team. The younger, Charlie, is the “smart” one, a genius in the mathematics field who helps his brother, Don, an FBI agent, solve various cases ranging from murder to fraud. Brain insists FBI gets involved in a Supernatural type case and ends up getting help from Sam and Dean which ends up with them getting on the FBI payroll/unofficial agents as a reward – no more credit card fraud. Brain also things it would be fun to do the reverse as a sequel, after Sam’n’Dean meet up with their Dad and they end back in LA, with Charlie, Don ‘n’Crew helping them out on a case somehow.
3) Brain pokes at every thing from X, Death Note to Inuyasha and Fruits Basket because they all have Supernatural Elements. I’m telling it to be quiet because really, it’s silly.
4) Brain wants to play with Sam’s abilities because that sort of thing is fuuuuun.
5) Brain also thinks it would be cool to kill Sam and have his spirit hang around in Dean’s body freaking the heck out of Dean at first. Brain also thinks it would be intriguing to see how their dad would react to being a paraplegic and having to let Dean-Sam go after the demon since he couldn’t, you know, get anywhere without a wheelchair.
