bard_linnWell, The General (aka Kiraya) and I watched AC dubbed Friday (which I still need to buy...)
I still say the obvious solution is to just have all the Japanese voice actors become fluent in English, but until then...
Reeve, Barrett and Zack I liked. They all seemed very "them." I really liked Vin-chan too, especially when you consider Chaos'n'company. Rufus was good after his first line. Cloud and Seph made me cringe at points. Yuffie, Aerith and Tifa just...weren't them, at least to me. Reno and Rude were rather well done. I actually did like some of the alternate lines they used in place of the subs I had seen...they either made more sense or just were a nice different twist.
It's been so long since I've seen stuff dubbed I forgot how off the lip movements could get, actually.
This viewing reminded me of all the WTF moments in the film though. CLOUD YOU CAN'T RIDE A MOTORCYCLE OVER AN OCEAN! SQUARE YOU FAIL AT LOGISTICS!
Also finished watching Skies of Memories, which is essentially Chain of Memories edited together without most of the game play....
I still want to play it, because the Cloud scenes were in there. YES I REALIZE I'M OBSESSED LEAVE ME ALONE. >.< Ahem.
I really liked it a lot, and made me consider the bits and pieces of KHII I've seen so far in a different light. *cough*Twilight Town*cough* Can't wait to play that on Thursday/Friday depending on timing and stuff. <3
The Riku side was a little ...eh for me. The twilight road is an interesting concept though. I really liked Namine in the end. I adore characters who will do what's right over what's easy. I almost wish she and Sora would get together; they're so cute. <3 (Not that this will ever happen. Kairi this, Kairi that. KHI!Kairi doesn't intrigue me as much as Namine does, though things may be different in II.) I adore Sora in here - "I'm going to protect her, even if I really didn't make that promise." He's such a sweetie. <3<3<3 Very silly, but very true.
Oh, and Hojo so totally has a Namine tucked into a closet somewhere for rearranging clone memories. Except she felt bad for Cloud and gave him Zack's. *plugs that plot hole*
Had to go to silly Honor Induction Ceremony today. Was not terrible, but could have been shorter. *sigh*
Tomorrow I need to look at brain storming for the essay I have to write in Inclusion on Tuesday and possibly review some Geometry. And clean. *eyes dishes*

... and you'd be surprised at the whole thing with Sora and Namine. It's... really freaking kick ass, to say the least. ^_^ ::shushes to avoid spoilers::
