I do that when I'm playing a new game, or don't know what I'm doing (In KH I quite literally had to almost start over because I did something stupid) but we have a lot of files on the card already.....
Yes ouch. I was in the Northern Crater - I was so close to beating Seph, then he comes up and goes "Uh, Jess...you have a backup save file on Final Fantasy 7, right?" Me: "No...why...?" Him: >.> <.<
I nearly killed him, I swear.
KH!Seph is ROCK SOLID HARD. Good luck if you get up to him again.
My sister once did something similar to me on FF7. I'd been breeding chocobos and had just got a gold one, but hadn't saved. I needed the bathroom, so I handed the control to my sister and said "Just wander around on the chocobo, don't fight anything, okay?" And in the three minutes I was in the bathroom she'd managed wander into Ruby Weapon and get obliterated, and I lost my gold chocobo.
I hate losing saves. Had it happen to me twice. Once my mother accidently turned the machine off while the game was saving. Fortunately, it was her card, but we lost our combined save on Champions of Narrath which was almost at then end -.- had to start all over.
The other time was my fault. Never ever clean up a save card for more room when you are running a high fever.
Yeah, the best thing about it is she's an RPG fanatic so she buys pretty much all the ones worth playing that hit the market. So, I can just borrow them form her.
Reminds me of the time there was a power surge that wiped an entire PS memory card AND an entire PS2 card my brother and I shared. What was on them?
Both of our separate, almost-completed game files for FFX. Brother's superhigh leveled FF7, 8, and 9 files. My level-99-all-around FF9 file. My New Game + Chrono Cross files. My half done KH file. Ryan's Madden something or other. Ryan's nearly-done GTA3 file. And several other things.
We were literally screaming aloud for at least a half hour as we vainly tried every file. They were all irreparably fragmented, and the cards were fried, and completely unusable. Ryan went to the batting cages to hit things, and I screamed and threw stuffed animals. Next day, we got new cards and several surge protector strips, so we could use one on every TV with a different gaming system.
