Not even a day gone and its hard to resist. *RESISTS!*
For those of you who haven’t noticed/were not aware, today is the first day of Lent, a time traditionally considered a time of abstinence and self-discipline. A lot of people “give up” something for Lent.
Linn gave up reading fanfiction.
I’m not reading any fic – new, old, favorited, saved on the computer – unless a) I wrote it b) it has something to do with BE (cause that’s a cowrite) or c) someone asks for a beta. Why? Partially because I am rather addicted to the stuff- some times to the point of obsession, which isn’t good. Partially because I really should be working on school stuff and my own writing, and if I force myself to stop rereading fic yet AGAIN I’ll have more free time.
So, until April 16th I won’t be commenting on stuff. Sorry guys! *wanders off to find countdown ticker to put at the top of her journal*
…you know all of my favorite authors are going to update now…..XD;

Date: 2006-03-01 09:12 pm (UTC)I hate Lent with a burning passion, but that's just because of how it was treated when I grew up. I consider myself agnostic anyway, the Catholic church hasn't done much to endear itself to me lately.

Date: 2006-03-01 11:26 pm (UTC)At the moment? Have no time. Week of 13th if you want I could do one or two. Not just so I can read them though. I'd really want to help.

Date: 2006-03-02 01:35 am (UTC)::ponder:: Though I admit, in my house we always played by cheater's rules insofar as Sunday was considered to be a day exempt from whatever Lenten promise you'd made. XD
