How time does fly…

A year ago a nineteen year old made her first post on her blue and white livejournal, armed with her pathetic paint made icon featuring Charlie from Numb3rs. Her account was only minutes old, having spent the time reading through the fine print earlier in the evening. It was the day before the first day of Lent. Tomorrow she would post her first fic on houseofsmex, in the community that finally dragged her onto the site [Her friends had been trying to drag her on before. Now they’ve left and she’s here. Odd that.]

Now, a year later things sure have changed. From a free account to a permanent one. from three icons to 100. From a blue and white default journal to one that’s been customized. 593 journal entries. 5,143 comments received. 12,905 comments posted. 43 communities as opposed to one.

This past year has had its ups and downs. There’s been wank, and craziness, spontaneous giving and utter silliness. It’s been an amazing year. And most importantly of all, I’ve met a bunch of people I’m proud to call friend. To all of you guys who have stayed by me when RL has been keeping me down, a big thank you. I love all you guys so much from the people I’ve known since the beginning to the once I’ve just met recently. I’ve really enjoyed this past year.
