The Curse of '96!

bard_linnPortfolio is moving right along. Hopefully will print the last of the things I need today before I meet kiraya (speaking of which, when ARE we meeting?), and then have to tweak my "explanation" some more.
Gah. We're supposed to get more snow tonight and I don't LIKE snow! And I know why too.
Yesterday we were supposed to have Ann's birthday party, which got cancelled because the township didn't plow the roads until late.* Grrr. However, the day before my dad said to CBL "Up! It's snowing, you won't be able to have your birthday party, Kelly" and in doing so invoked the curse of '96.
What is the curse of '96 you ask?
As many of my fellow US east coasters may remember, 1996 had north easter after north easter. We were out of school for quite a while. I remember the piles of snow being over 10 feet high by the end from the plows. My cousin, Kelly, has her birthday in January. They weren't able to have it until MARCH because of snow. Every time she rescheduled it would snow. By the end, if we didn't want to do something we joked about calling her up and asking her to more her party to such and such date.
If we get a ton of snow I'm blaming it on Dad. Regardless of the fact CBL got a "Let it snow!" sweatshirt.
Finally, THIS is love for all you FF8 fans. Er, not Rinoa fans though. >.>
*Just as well it snowed too, since apparently most of the people WEREN'T COMING but never decided to TELL use this. *growls*
