Well, went to see it tonight, so it's review time!

Hm. MUCH better than three. I'll be able to watch this one without cringing all over the place. They dropped a lot of stuff but most of it didn't bother me. There was some stuff that made me go "awww, wish they'd put that in" but nothing like the Moony, Padfoot, Prongs and Wormtail thing.

Dumbledore- has to be my biggest complaint. He seemed really OOC a lot of the movie. And I want to smack whoever's writing his lines. Dumbledore was always dramatic but in a crazy coot sort of way not THIS IS THE END OVER DRAMATICNESS PLZ KILL ME NOW way. -.- Also his whole attitude towards Harry in the beginning = very angry Linn. But he got better at the end of the movie when Harry came back from the graveyard. Weird way to end their relationship THIS year considering what was coming next year.

McGonagall- I've always loved McGonagall and was always saddened she didn't get that big of a role in the books. FAVORITE PART for her was when everyone is against Harry, he's walking down to the room and she puts her hand on his shoulder. It brings to mind the image of her telling Dumbledore not to leave Harry at the Dudley's, as my Dad pointed out. Also loved when she made Ron dance with her for talking out. That's so totally something my parents would do. Or me for that matter. I had kids do jumping jacks at one point...

Snape- I hate Snape. I really, really do. Partially it's because how he teaches, which IMHO is inexcusable, prior grudge or not. However, he was GREAT in this film! I love the scene where he kept hitting Ron in the head, then pushed up his sleeves and got BOTH of them.

Ron and Harry- I though the emotions handled between these two was done rather well. I loved Harry's reaction when he returned from the graveyard. It was a very real picture. Emotions over all in this film were very good, actually.

Hermione- ah, this movie is antidote to HBP!Hermione (Course, HBP!Dumbledore is antidote to this one). I loved her in here. Occasionally she came off too "I'm crushing on Harry!" but not that much. You could take it in a platonic look. Much love for "I am NOT an owl!"

Fred and George were love. Good job with Neville, though I'm still two sided about using him instead of Dobby for getting Harry the gillyweed. Nice to build up his character, especially for book five, but at the same time Dobby is so cute. ;)

I'm saddened by the lack of glowing, snake slit eyes for Voldie. :( And costumes in general actually. I still don't like the abundance of muggle/muggle influenced clothing (dress robes? Uh HUH. Try tux.). It takes away from the feeling of Hogwarts being so different IMHO. Also didn't like all the French Students were female and all the Dumstrang students were male (since they weren't. >_<). The Dumstrang boat is like Pirates of the Caribbean in reverse. XD;; Dragon scene was good, the bits with Cho not bad at all really, the lake done good...I wish the maze had been the book maze; I really wanted to see the sphinx, but again, I could live without it. And I wish they had Harry throw off the imperio curse but they didn't have the time to do the lead up to that I guess. Ah well.

Finally, Cedric. Ahh Cedric. He came off really well in here; I loved the dynamics between him and Harry. The scene where he's saying good bye to his dad (there's a thought. His mom was gone in the entire movie)before going into the maze hurts SO MUCH because you know he's going to die. Nearly cried then.

Now, off to tape Numb3rs.

Gah, yes. Dumbledore came off as being so violent! He's supposed to be all... amiable and concerned, but instead was this scary old man. o.0

Snape- I hate Snape. I really, really do. Partially it's because how he teaches, which IMHO is inexcusable, prior grudge or not.

YES, exactly. But ditto that he was cool in this film. :p

Ahh, poor Cedric. ;_; I thought the saddest part was all the victory music playing when his dead body was brought back, and no-one realised.

Was a well done film though, even if v. different to the book. :D

I know! Makes me SAAAAAD. DUMBLYDORE....

Exspecially since he IS so good, as HBP pointed out. I mean, he could have taught the kids so much not in the book and Hogwarts could have made the best potions ever! But no, has to be all "I am potion master and ubber secretive." *kicks him*

That is too. *nods nods*

Very true! But different in a way that worked, IMHO.

GAH! DUMBLEDORE WAS SO OUT OF CHARACTER I WANTED TO TAKE A BAT TOT HE DIRECTOR FOR IT!!! It is clearly staed Dumbledore always keeps a calm cool head even in the face of his enemies, so since when is he FREAKING out over EVERYTHING?!?! He's old and wise even if he does act young at times. That was my BIGGEST problem with this movie. Dumdledore's character=FUCK YOU DIRECTOR!! *bat to head*

I've always like Snape but not as a comical character. But that scene was THE BEST scene. It was SO in character and just AWESOME. haha. LOVED the comedy in the movie. They did a good job with it. *small tent = HUGE NICE TENT* "I love magic" SO funny.

AH YES THE TWINS! I can't WAIT until the 5th book when they have an even BIGGER role. They're going to rock hardcore.

And I also didn't like that Neville got the gillyweed. It's NOT in character for Neville to steal from Snape, no mater WHO it is for. It made more sense for Dobby.

Ummm my brain just stopped working so if I planned on saying anything else I forgot. But that's my input. XP hehe .*loves*

Humor was well done in this movie, yes. TWINS ARE GOING TO BE GREAT!
