bard_linnYesterday I went and got 13+inches of my hair chopped off. (I measured it braided, so it's longer than 13, though not sure how long.) It's going to locks for love. I haven't had a major hair cut in 15 years. It feel kinda strange, but I like it. My hair is just below my shoulders - about an inch or two - and I have bangs again, which I haven't had since I was, oh, in third grade or so. My hair used to go all the way down past the base of my spine.
My Abstract Class' reaction was PERFECT. I came in, my hair back in my usual tail and no one said anything. (They were all doing the "How do you do this proof? We have to hand this in, in ten minutes!!!" spaz). Then someone who sits behind me asked "did you cut your hair?" I grinned and pulled the hair tie down and everyone's mouth dropped.
My sister says she hates it. My comment was it wasn't her hair and she could live. She's getting over it - she realized her hair is longer than mine which was apparently her "lifelong goal" and was very pleased over that. I don't care much; I can do a lot more which my hair now than I have in a long, long time. Pulled out a bunch of hair ties and the like I couldn't use because of it's length.
The end result of this is: I look more like my mother than ever before. We've got the same hair style now, and it's kind of scary actually. ^^; I think we're going to make some people have deja vu.
School wise:
We're coming up on testing insanity again. This weekend isn't too bad, but I'm doing SATs again next Saturday (I must be insane. Ah well, good money.). We already had one study session for our Abstract test and I think we'll have enough time to make good headway way before the actual test comes. I've got two projects for methods and have a good head start on the one. Need to look for materials soon for the other. So despite being very busy, I'm not too stressed at the moment, which is good!
Fandom wise I've been writing a bit of FFVII fic. I haven’t' forgotten those birthday fics and I promise to get them out eventually. The bunnies aren't cooperating. >/ I've also been plotting Butterfly Effect.kiraya and I are almost done with all the details so we'll get to start writing soon. I'm really excited about this, even though it might take a bit. Like, a year or two. XD;; Twenty page long outline. Yes, I am firmly embedded in FFVII fandom at the moment, but I'm not completely ignoring FMA either. It would help if my fics would cooperate. :(
