Summary: Edward finds out exactly why Roy’s interested in hi-er-her.

A Few Alterations
“I can’t take this anymore,” Ed growled, slamming the door behind her. She leaned against it with a sigh, grateful to have reached sanctuary. “That man is going to drive me insane.”
Al frowned, glancing at his brot-er, sister. “This doesn’t seem normal for General Mustang, Sister.”
“No, it doesn’t. The man was always girl crazy but this is ridiculous,” Ed growled.
The younger Elric gave his brother a sharp look. “You didn’t do something, did you?”
“What?”
“The General’s acting like he’s under a spell.”
“ACK. AL!” Ed shouted, a look of distaste crossing her face. You can’t be serious! I wouldn’t do anything to get that bas-baby to act like this!”
Really, having a goddess in the house who didn’t approve of her student swearing – and was able to punish her student if he did – was very inconvenient. Al found it amusing, watching as his brother attempted not to swear, and was rather glad that Skuld’s efforts had lessened the amount of profanity Edward uttered.
“Ed couldn’t do that. Love spells are rather complex and above her current abilities,” Skuld replied absentmindedly, looking up from the strange device she called a computer. “Though, there could be another explanation…” Her fingers flew over the keyboard, rapidly calling up data. “Huh. I didn’t even know that combination was possible. This world has some very interesting parameters.”
“And what exactly does that mean?”
“Ah, well because of the specific laws governing this world, the normal rules governing power are not necessarily applicable. Those who have access to your terminal are particularly susceptible to developing a fascination you, especially when establishing physical contact when you are emanating power.” Skuld looked over at Ed, eying the young goddess.
“…….say WHAT?”
“Those who have access – ”
“Yeah, but what does that MEAN?”
“More or less? Alchemists are attracted to you because you’re their power source – or more accurately, you act as the conduit for their power source – and as such are likely to develop a crush on you if they physically run into while you’re using power.”
“But I wasn’t!” Ed objected, waving her arms.
“Actually, you were. On a subconscious level.” Skuld looked rather amused, though by what Edward couldn’t quite tell. “In fact, any alchemist you touched while in your female form would develop quite an attraction towards you.”
“But I touched Al and he didn’t fall in love with me!” Ed countered, looking annoyed. “Right Al?”
“Um,” Al flushed, “you are very pretty Brother.”
“AL!” Ed flushed bright red.
“In any case,” Skuld interjected before the conversation could go any further downhill, “it looks like you need a seal, though that usually isn’t used until higher classes. But considering the circumstances of the world…” The goddess of the past shook her head. “Anyway, you’ll need a seal. Give me a few minutes.” She made a few motions with her hands, murmured a spell under her breath and summoned a pair of hoop earrings from thin air. “Now just to put these on.”
“Those are earrings.”
“Yes, Edward.”
The blonde backed away from Skuld, eyes fixed on the pieces of metal between her hands. “You aren’t getting those on me.”
“Yes I am.”
The resulting chase was rather amusing, and involved Edward eventually being pinned beneath several robots that Skuld had been forced to summon in order to finally get a hold of him. “Now, just hold still while I do – ”
“THAT’S A NEEDLE!”
“Of course, you need one to pierce your ears. EDWARD ELRIC HOLD STILL!”
“OUCH! HEY!” Ed massaged her right ear, tugging on the hoop. While she was distracted Skuld quickly attacked the other ear. “There. You can get up now.”
“I can’t believe you did that.” Ed growled, getting up. Her left leg promptly crumpled underneath her. “Wha-”
“You were subconsciously using your power to keep yourself upright in your female form. You aren’t used to having flesh limbs besides …other things.” Skuld looked far too amused for Edward’s comfort. “I’m afraid you’ll have to adjust now.”
“Br-Sister, let me help you up,” Al carefully helped his sister to her feet. The younger Elric turned his attention to Skuld. “What happens next?”
“Once Ed is able to walk around without falling – ”
“HEY!”
“We find this General of yours, Edward – ”
“He’s not my General!”
“And I’ll cast a counterspell to remove the attraction. So I suggest you start practicing, Edward.” Skuld looked amused, seeing the other goddess clinging to her brother to stay upright.
“I’ll be fine. We can go now.” Ed let go, took a step forward, and promptly fell on her face.
“This is going to take a long time.” Al sighed.
“Looks like it,” Skuld agreed, all but whistling as she went off to her room. “Let me know when she can handle it. I’m going to start programming the counters
