Kiraya: With a chapter that's rather packed to the gills with happenings.

Kiraya: But, all things considered, that's to be expected.

Bard Linn: Truth, that.

Bard Linn: Everyone say welcome back to Vincent. I know a number of you have been worried he hasn't been around lately. :)

Kiraya: We wouldn't forget him -- even if he's not been as much of a major character as he was earlier on, he'll always be important because of his long, close connection to Cloud.

Bard Linn: Speaking of Vincent: His demons.

Bard Linn: Also known as, Attempting to Work Game Mechanics Into A Life Setting

Kiraya: ...don't say stuff like that, because you'll make me get all ridiculous over the transformation mechanics. :P

Bard Linn: - Amended, in a Fantasy setting not relying on line fighting mechanics.

Kiraya: ...If I pointed out you can transform as Vincent in Dirge of Cerberus, which isn't line fighting, you'd kill me about now, right?

Bard Linn: Anyway, we figured that the demons could pretty much pop out any time they felt like it. Or at least, if Vincent couldn't - be right back, murdering co-writer.

Bard Linn: *comes back, dusting off hands* Video game mechanics, then.

Bard Linn: Though to be fair, you actually can wander without using a Limit Break for a long time in FFVII. It's annoying, but you can do it.

Kiraya: *being deceased, is unable to comment*

Bard Linn: *chucks Phoneix Down*

Kiraya: Pah. Damn feathers.

Bard Linn: I'm working on Fem!Lelouchverse in the other window, if that's more motivating.

Kiraya: ...Oooh.

Bard Linn: Finish this first.

Bard Linn: Anyway, we might be fudging it a bit with letting the demons out, but I hope you'll all forgive. <3

Bard Linn: Also, Aeris' abilities.

Kiraya: While doing the MMG stuff has undoubtedly helped her some, it isn't like she's had formal training.

Bard Linn: Most of what she has is instinct, so we wanted to focus on that here.

Kiraya: *nod*

Bard Linn: I thought about writing in all that stuff with Don Corneo, but I thought that'd take away from the actual story too much.

Kiraya: Yeah, somewhere there's a whole bunch of ficlets about the stuff they did on the trip floating around unwritten.

Kiraya: I think there might've been a Cosmo Canyon idea we were batting around...

Bard Linn: Having Aeris meet what's his name.

Bard Linn: Nanaki's Grandfather.

Kiraya: Bugenhagen.

Bard Linn: HIM

Bard Linn: But there's only so much you can have until it gets to be too unweildy, so we cut it.

Bard Linn: Also: Welcome Yuffie to the crew, and Cid back. Yuffie is going to be playing a surpringly large roll in What Is To Come.

Bard Linn: ....this may partially because I like her. A lot.

Kiraya: Even if you do not like her you will like her after this.

Kiraya: I was always ambivalent towards her before this stuff, but now I adore her. <3

Bard Linn: She's older here than she was in canon.

Bard Linn: Slightly more mature, and very devious.

Kiraya: And it's awesome. <3

Bard Linn: Hm...I think that's the major things for this chapter.

Bard Linn: Can you think of anything?

Kiraya: Nah.

Bard Linn: Okay.

Bard Linn: Our goal is to have another chapter out by the end of June at the latest.

Bard Linn: Possibly even earlier than that, if someone keeps being motivated. :)

Kiraya: Haaaai.

Bard Linn: Anyway, we hope those of you in the USA enjoy Memorial Day and we'll see you next chapter!
