Bard Linn: I would say welcome back, everyone, but I have the distinct feeling weapons of mass destruction are headed our way.

Kiraya: ...well at least we only missed the guesstimated update time we gave 'em by a couple days?

Bard Linn: I was more thinking about the content of the chapter, to be honest.

Kiraya: Yes, well.

Kiraya: Try to look on the bright side and all that.

Bard Linn: Well. I know there are a few things I want to hit:

Bard Linn: 1) Yes, this was always planned. We did not just pull it out of the blue.

Bard Linn: 2) No, the story is not over. You'll notice Jenny is still out there. And, as a life fic, it is important to look at how the other characters are going to be dealing with Cloud's death.

Kiraya: I have to admit some of that's my favorite stuff we've done so far.

Bard Linn: I really enjoyed this chapter - we managed to work in a lot of in-game fighting references. Original game, anyway.

Bard Linn: But yes, the memorial stuff is quite good.

Bard Linn: Hm....anything else we need to address?

Kiraya: Please stay tuned?

Kiraya: We promise there's still a lot more story to be told here.

Bard Linn: There is.

Bard Linn: And a lot of it is very good.

Bard Linn: - though it'll probably be a while until you get it, since it is September, and that means my life is crazy.

Kiraya: It'll clear up sooner or later.

Kiraya: ...as will my currently flipflopping schedule.

Bard Linn: So. When we can, we will update. The good thing is we have resumed our lead on posting, and I actually have a feel for how many more chapters the story is going to be.

Kiraya: Yes, gentle readers, things WILL be wrapped up.

Kiraya: Eventually.

Bard Linn: We promise.

Kiraya: But all good things must come to an end, and there's a veritable horde of plotbunnies Linn's been raising.

Kiraya: So many ideas, so little time...

Kiraya: ...er, will this earn me the requisite smack for complaining about lack of time, this time?

Bard Linn: I do not raise plot bunnies. They grow on their own.

Kiraya: But they're such DELICIOUS-- uh-- entertaining little morsels!

Bard Linn: Well. I will attempt to keep her on track. Wish me luck.
