We still have a few votes being counted but at this point we may as well admit it did. Now, I'm not sure exactly how this is even POSSIBLE considering the ruling, but it is.

It's not going to last. And here's why. Look at the exit poll from CNN on the votes

Notice the ages? In another twenty, forty years - /we will be the majority/. People will understand what it means - and vote correctly. This is a terrible setback (and it REALLY depresses me) but it's not the end of the world.

I leave you with this motivational article I love and adore. "Scream, shout, jump up and down. No matter. The gay-marriage issue is over and done with. The upshot: love won."

That really sucks especially in a time of great joy. Hopefully the future will bring the changes needed. Love doesn't need a marriage license and ultimately we as a race are more than the biological constraints of male and female. We are transcendentals and this is but a small bump in our evolution.

No need to feel disappointed, really. Just be excited to know the future will still bring brighter hopes in the future.

I have family members who are gay and are involved with their SO's close enough to be married, but they don't believe in marriage since it seems cheapened to them.

But then, I think they didn't go at length about it because other things are more important to them.

Still, I know how you feel, and we will rectify this wrong in the future <3
