Retail Therapy - the Linn way
Jun. 5th, 2011 06:53 pmSo, I proctored the SATs yesterday, which netted me a bit more money. On the way home, I spent some of that at yard sales. I picked up a heavy wood dresser set (three pieces) for $20. I also got a bookcase for $5 and a little fountain for $5. (I don't really need the fountain, but it does help hydrate the air. Plus they were raising money for college students to go to a science convention. As a math teacher, I thought I should support them - and it's pretty, too.)
Today I got a set of pans and pots for about $65 that are marked for $120. Coupons and sales are love.
Motto: save more money!
I got most of my applications done for the two part time jobs I found so far. I will hopefully be able to finish those tomorrow. If I get a summer job (or two) lined up that would help my finances.
Sent a message off to my realtor. Hopefully
kiraya and I will be able to meet with her on Tuesday and look at the two houses. I'm taking my checkbook with me so I can make a bid. *crosses fingers*
I wore an outfit today that I couldn't wear for a few years! And Kiraya's dad complimented me, noticing that I had lost weight. :) Summer is coming. After
musicshoes' graduation and the end of the year stuff, it's back to Summer Shapeup time! *strikes a pose*
Now. Off to write something. Hopefully.
