Productive Weekend!
May. 29th, 2011 07:55 pmSo far this weekend I have cleaned: Up and downstairs bathroom, living room, toy/computer room (play room as kids, more of a desk area now), my room, stairs, hall, kitchen and dinning room. I call myself sucessful.
Also pleasing, Kir and I managed to get the next chapter of BE out. She's done first level proofs through 50 ( - which is honestly one of my favorite chapters to date, yay!) which leaves us with two plus the side story telling Cloud's side of things.
I'm also happy I managed to finish up that TB/Shiro's verse crossover. I am very pleased with how it came out.
...not that helps with the crossover bunnies.
On the fic-writing front, I'm trying to get more of Girl!Lelouch drafted. We're planning to do it in short fic segments, which should help since my muses don't feel like doing linear things right now.
Today my sister goes to her senior prom! She looked so pretty and grown up. I'm so proud of her. <3
And since she's not home, mom is making clams for us for dinner, which she doesn't like, but I do. :P

kiraya's. We're going to drive up to the two areas I'm looking at buying a house in. We will also hopefully eat at that dinner I love. After that, we'll head back to her house and probably watch some X/1999, start taking notes.
Tuesday I had a bit of a break down on her. ^^;; I was running the numbers, and I realized I'm not going to have a lot of extra cast next year with the morgage. Things are going to be pretty tight, so I'm going to have to a) get a summer job and b) look at taking on a second one in addition to teaching full time. While I'll probably have some tutoring students, I'm also looking at trying to become a Princeton Review teacher, since they do things in the evenings and on the weekends. I've been pretty resistant of this so far, because I'm afraid of turning into my mother, who never. stops. working. I want to have time in my life to enjoy it, not just work all the time. However, with a shorter commute, I should have a bit more time than I do now (cut in half, depending on traffic).
In addition to earning some extra cash, I'm going to try and keep the bills low by keeping the heat down, air up (as in, not on as much), buying everything I absolutely have to have on sale and minimize spur of the moment stuff. This was pretty much how I lived between the ages of about 5 and 10. I still remember it, and can do it again. On the plus side, however, mom thinks I'm overestimating utilities, so it may be a lot better than I am predicting.
Almost June. With June, the foreclosures flood the market, and hopefully the prices start dropping. >D
Aaaaand time to get back to writing. Yosh.
