And it's back to School!
Sep. 7th, 2010 08:35 pmSo. What have I been up to besides posting BE?
kiraya,
musicshoes and I went and saw Inception. And then
musicshoes and I dragged our parents out to see it again. Because it was AWESOME. Ariadne is my favorite, and there's a Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Inception fic bouncing around in my head. When I have free time again.
Speaking of free time, in the car
musicshoes and I were writing fandom additions for the Fluxx deck. I'm really looking forward to making cards at some point.
I also read the latest Dresden novel; I really enjoyed it, but it was hard to put down! Mom just has to finish it off and then we'll put it back in the library. The paperback doesn't come out until March. :( All the other ones we have are in paperback and I don't want to change formats - even though they've changed the dimensions on the paperbacks, gah.
It was my birthday on Sunday! I am now 25 years old - and as of today, I am also tenured as a teacher. I'm teaching a new prep this year, which is making me a little @.@, especially since it's lower level. It's hard to explain basic algebra 1 to kids - some of this I do so much by instinct it confuses me to do it any other way. I will have to think on how to explain adding and subtracting negative numbers.
kiraya came over my birthday and gave me a Smile.d.k CD - with Butterfly! This made me very happy. I also got a set of gold-plated jewelry from my parents (I really needed some nice professionally looking jewelry, so this was perfect) and my sister gave me money for Otakon, at which I bought a Yuuko clock, and a t-shirt. The Yuuko clock is so pretty. I didn't really need it (it's not particularly useful for telling time, because it isn't numbered - I have another clock in my room) but I love the picture tons.
kiraya and I also started watching the Code Geass Audio commentaries for R2. I swear, if they made another version with audio commentaries on every episode, I'd buy the series again.
Well, time to get a shower and get to bed - I need to be out the door at six again tomorrow.
