First real update in...how long?
Nov. 14th, 2007 09:41 pmI keep thinking of things and go "I should put that on livejournal" but of course I'm never at the computer when that happens!
Fandom wise, BE35 is slowly poking itself along and Kir is working on proofing 34 (and doing her usual fantastic job). We're still getting scattered comments on 32 over on ff.net and some of them are pretty funny - if only in the fact that they contradict each other! As far as Haremverse and Genderswitch goes, the most progress we've had is deciding on if-she-ever-shows-up girl!seph's clothes - see Mel's latest two black outfits on dancing with the stars. *drool* Speaking of dancing, I've convinced Kiraya to give it a try. *grins* Also on the fandom side, we're working our way through Crisis Core and have landed at the final save point before The End of the Game which we are gleefully ignoring by doing side-missiony quest stuff, mostly so we have awesometastic items, materia etc for our new game+ Also on the fandom side, I've snuck back into Anime club the last two weeks and we've been enjoying Oh My Goddess. That series is so SHINY. Seriously. The last showing is Friday...I'm kind of sad.
One of these days I'm going to make a post of "things I want to get sometime in the future" so next time people go "what do you want for x" I can say "I want #2!" because I can never remember when they ask. >.>;;
On the real life side, I've survived my first semester of teaching! Just think, I'm about 1/4 of the way through the year. I'm really excited. I had my last official observation today (non-tenured get 3 a year) and I think it went well, though I won't get feedback for a while. (It's a VP; they tend to have a lot more on their plate.) NJEA days were last week and were a godsend. I really love the number of days my profession gets off. They seriously help with burnout. Speaking of days off we get two next week with three half-days. Of course, the first two are for conferences *gulp* Sadly I won't get to see Kiraya at all that week because she and her sister are leaving Tuesday night and I won't get home until Wednesday a little after noon....
We're doing Thanksgiving at the cousin's again this year, which is great. Especially since mom just had sonic-blasting foot surgery. She's doing pretty well and I hope this will help her sleep better at night. Speaking of mom, CBL and I bought Mom and Dad their Christmas present tonight - tickets to the Dancing with the Stars Tour in February. Mom's very excited.
