Ahem.

Then just as Sora was about to let the final blow fall, he felt suddenly sad. Surely he could not kill this pretty cool dude (even if he was a lousy fighter - a musical instrument for a weapon? What did he think he was, a bard?) so heartlessly. He, after all, was not a Heartless, minus that whole weird Hollow Bastion episode he steadfastly forgets for plot reasons.

Lowering his weapon, the Keyblade Master said what is arguably one of the lamest lines in history, though often repeated. "I really don't want to fight you, Demyx." An inexplicable sadness arose in him at the thought of ending the beautiful music that had lulled him to sleep on The World That Never Was, echoing in the paradoxically named Hall of Empty Melodies, though of course since neither Roxas nor Sora remembered this, neither knew why they were sad.

Demyx blinked. "Um, I don't think that's how the scrip goes."

Somewhere, a fourth wall shattered.

"I know!" Sora replied. "But I'm really getting tired of being made out to look like a heartless creep who kills all of you guys - even if you were trying to mess with our worlds. I mean, the original six or so, yeah, but you're nine, right? So you were turned into a Nobody by them. Shouldn't I be trying to get your heart back or something as the Keyblade master?" Sora looked quite pleased at his argument.

"I guess."

"Well then, why don't you come with me. We'll kick your bosses' butts and save you from dying off. The writers can change the script."

Thus Demyx joined the party and gained much more screen time. A whole pile of Demyx/Sora shippers were born (despite the fact that Sora is very much not a sexual character). Later they found Axel and convinced him to come to their side, as he was fire, and fire and water go together, since then Demyx could summon water, Axel could heat it and they could have warm baths for once.

Eventually they reached The World That Never Was without martyr like sacrifices, kicked the rest of the Organization's collective behinds (minus Luxord, who decided to come hang out on their side) and went back to Destiny Island, where the three Nobodies managed to settle down and live without their hearts, until Sora decided it was time to go look for them, but that is another story.

The End.

I apologize for the crack. I was watching Slayers and thus it is strong with me today. XD
