bard_linnFirst: I'm afraid that chat's going to have to be put on hold for a bit. I still want to have it but things conspired against us this weekend. So, we'll have to wait and see what comes up.
Second: WWC has gotten really big considering its been active for a short time. We have 14 stories already. And the first story was posted 7 days ago. If this keeps up, it could get huge. Which is not a bad thing. But it does bring up several problems, the same way HoS did when it got really big. Organization at the moment is pretty much just a list but its hard to create any sort of chronological order. I'm wondering: would you prefer that I move it to a comm of its own? There are several reasons for this.
Reason 1) HoS is really for stories about the fivesome. Some of the stories don't even have them in it (not a bad thing. We like them very much. Just a fact.) and those with them aren't focusing on them very much (again, not a bad thing).
Reason 2) It would allow for more flexibility.
Reason 3) It would be easier to organize. Right now its getting slightly chaotic and I can see that as a growing problem in the future. I LIKE organized chaos (and, as Greed said, organizing chaos) but flat out chaos is confusing for everyone.
Reason 4) It would remove it from the comm. There are some people here not familiar with R!S or it confuses them too much.
Reason 5) It would eliminate one plot arc/Au/whatever you want to call it. This place is so busy sometimes I get confused and I can handle a lot of stuff like that at once.
Should we move it to a new comm, it would be set up similar to HoS with only a few guidelines, namely Hime's rules for the universe (for as long as she wants to keep them).
There are several benefits to a new system. And there are some disadvantages.
+ We could have multiple plot arcs, like we do here in HoS. This means if I want HoS!Envy to kill R!S!Lust you wouldn't have to follow it and we don't have the problem of cannon. (Minus Hime’s rules)
+ If more than one plot arc developed and it stayed on HoS it could get confusing. Subjects would have to read WWC: Plot Arc Title: Story title.
+ It would be easier to do things like bring in Aru. For example, if you wanted the WWC!HoS characters to be the ones from the Doubles universe, you could do that provided you got Forgotten Lover’s permission. However, the rest of us wouldn’t HAVE to deal with the Doubles!HoSers if they didn’t want to. And you could do similar things with the other Arcs.
+ Organization would be easier.
- It removes it from the comm, its birth place
- It's another comm to watch.
