Good ideas, bad execution.
Why do you say this you ask? Well, today I got my lessons plans back from my Methods teacher. We did pretty well, 14 out of 15. What has me down is a note to this effect: Lessons 6, 7, 8 and 9 need more work to be up to the other lessons’ standards. Well guess what. Those would be four out of the six I wrote (I’m not sure where the extra lesson vanished to. He only marked 10.) And most of the stuff the teacher yesterday criticized was my stuff too.
Why do I feel bad?
Because I started days before my partner did. Because I tried to revise these things and proofread and do everything you are supposed to do. Because I actually read her lessons and asked for clarification and stuff when she was just skimming through mine and fixing spacing and the like. I feel like I’ve put more time and effort into these – and it’s MY lessons that suck.
I’m going to revise over spring break – amongst everything else I need to do – and see if I can meet with the profs to see if mine have been fixed. But for now, I’m going to go open the Happy Email folder.
