A Teacher’s Reflections
Izumi Curtis was not usually someone you would consider overly emotional.
In fact, if you asked her students, they would insist that no, their master never broke down, that she was strong and invulnerable.
In some ways she was glad they couldn’t see her now. Izumi closed her eyes and recalled the haunting image of Al unconscious in his hospital bed. It hurt more than she wanted to admit. Al and Ed had grown into strong alchemists. Izumi had become proud to call them her students, despite everything that had happened.
More than her students, they were the closest thing she had to children. She had failed once to save a child. She would not fail again.
Izumi began to examine the evidence again. She was familiar with some of the left over images from the array that had caused the accident. Unfortunately, they were all recognizable from her study of human transmutation.
“We have found research in the vaults that nearly matches what was found,” Armstrong approached handing over a pile of papers.
Izumi quickly flicked through them. “It looks like the same style. Who did this?”
“The Sewing Life Alchemist, Shou Tucker.”
“Is he still alive?” Izumi demanded.
“Official records say no, but there has been evidence otherwise.”
“Then lets find him,” Izumi stood quickly. She WOULD bring back her students. Then they would have to answer to her for all of this foolishness.
