In case anyone was wondering where I got my deviousness from....

(On the way home yesterday, discussing my sister's (who has now dubbed herself Chibi Bard Linn or CBL for short) home economics class and bringing in permission slips.)

Dad: well, you could always have the ones who turned it in cook and the ones who didn’t eat. “Yes class, today we will make scrambled eggs. No, just leave the shells in. Okay, now the rest of you have to eat it.” But you would never get away with it.

Me: You could have the half that brought it in bake and the others not. Make chocolate chip cookies or something.

CBL: She has them do book work.

Dad: Ah yes. This half of the class, bake chocolate chip cookies. This half write out the recipe three times. Now, this half of the class eat the chocolate chip cookies. This half of the class write about how a chocolate chip cookie tastes. This half of the class make appropriate sounds about how the cookies taste. This half of the class write about how it feels to listen to others eat chocolate chip cookies. This half of the class finish up your cookies. This half of the class write about how important it is to bring in your permission slip.

Me: It’s a good thing you don’t teach home ec.

I love my dad. ^_^
