Ah, Edinburgh (and all of Britain, I think) marks are easy up to a point - marks are out of 100. It's the part where everything above 40 is a pass, above 70 is an A and anything above 85 almost impossible to achieve that makes me go "wut?" Our marking scheme is crazy.
But if 4 is perfect - 3.8 is excellent :D
(Our grades in school also went from 1.0 to 4.0, with 1.0 the best - I got 1.3. I guess you got 0.1 more than me then?)
