FMA: Crossovers: Oh My Goddess: Ascension
SPOILERS FOR ENTIRE SERIES!
Summary:
SPOILER ALERT
In Episode 51, Ed offered up his life to get Al back. What happened next was something he couldn’t believe. He ended up in a new world without knowing if he had restored his brother. He had indeed been successful, but Al had lost his memories of his time in the armor. However, this is old news. Let’s move on to the interesting stuff, shall we?
Ed was happily minding his own business when he suddenly encountered an unexpected visitor. Skuld, Goddess of the Future, had come to make him an offer.
There was something needed in exchange for Al’s return. There were two options that Ed could choose. The first was to have things remain as they were. Ed would be stuck in this world for the rest of his life and Al would be without his memories. The second was to take up the position as the God of Alchemy.
Ed chose the second.
Then things got interesting.
The Particulars
I’m not a huge OMG fan so this story doesn’t really contain a lot of the elements. Those that are I’ll explain right here. If there are any OMG fans out there who spot any problems let me know.
In the OMG universe, the entire universe is represented in a computer program called Yggdrasil. The Gods and Goddesses are important parts of this program and acts as living components. After Ascension Ed becomes a part of this. He also replaces what used to fill this role, ie the Gate. This may or may not be expanded on as I mess with this story line.
Gods and Goddesses go through stages of development in their powers. This keep thing from going BOOM. Ed is at Surface World Trainee and will have to work his way back up. He has to go through so intensive training to do so. There are a few loop holes in this because of Ed’s special situation though.
Because Alchemy deals with the balance of feminine and masculine principles, Ed has both a male and female form. (And no, Skuld didn’t tell him about that when she offered him the job.)
Very powerful deities wear limiters. Usually these are class ones. However, because of some of the loop holes, he has some as well. In male form it’s his automail, in female it’s an earring.
Deities also have a recharge method for their power. Three examples sleep, ice cream or sake. Give you one guess on what Ed’s is. If you guess, milk you’re right. (Skuld didn’t mention that either.)
One finial thing: Due to Ed’s special circumstances, he was only allowed to tell one person about his new status. He chose Al, who recovered his memories as a result of Ed’s decision. However, he can’t be seen by anyone else as they all think he’s dead at the moment. This means if he’s going to leave the house he has to go out in female form. If someone guesses Ed’s identity he can reveal what happened. Ed can drop minor hints.
The story begins on the first day Ed goes out in female form. He encounters one Roy Mustang. The Alchemist, surprised to meet a female who does not fall to his charms, begins to stalk the girl. (I suppose that answers any questions about pairings?)

I love this, and I must say that I want a 3rd fic/drabble to this soon!
the only things I feel the need to point out are:
Urd- Goddess of past, half sister to Mara (demon) Hild (sp) ruler of hell is Urd's mom- mode of travel TV screens
Belldandy(sp)- Goddess of Present (and the higest ranked of the 3 cause urd got in trouble and is on probation)-mode of travel Mirrors
Skuld- Goddess of Future and on a traners licens (in the sceries)- mode of travle water
and that is the full extent of my knowaldge of the Goddess's stats.
